Octavio Sajuan
I was born in Modesto, California and grew up the majority of my life in the California Central Valley. I come from immigrant parents and Spanish has always been the primary language spoken in my household. I am thankful for that because I am fully fluent in both Spanish and English. I received my Bachelors of Arts degree in Legal Studies from California State University, Chico and I went on to receive my Juris Doctorate from Golden Gate University, School of law with a specialization in Public Interest Law.
I began my legal career in immigration, specifically deportation defense. I had a personal insight into the cost, difficulty and toll immigrating to a new country can have on a family – on both sides of the border. Given that personal insight, I wanted to help my community navigate U.S. immigration laws. I have had the honor of successfully helping people re-unite with their family members and have helped people successfully avoid deportation. Through creative arguments, I have had success finding ways to help clients stay in the country with their families.
The fight against oppressive deportation inspired me to join the fight against the oppressive criminal justice system. While working with Robert and Annie, I have had the honor of helping clients avoid lengthy prison sentences – including life in prison. Through tactical negotiation, I have had success helping clients avoid the oppressive requirement of sex offender registration. I have been successful overcoming false allegations against my clients and convincing the District Attorney to dismiss the charges.
I have wanted to be a lawyer ever since I can remember. I don’t take for granted the honor and privilege it is to be able to practice law. Let me help you through your legal problem. You can rest assured that I will fight for you or your loved one. Thank you for your trust.
